Twisting is the process which increases the strength and resistance of the yarn by the twisting of the fibres. This provides greater stability of the filaments and makes the material more workable.
Two, three or even more yarns can be twisted together to form a thicker twisted yarn.
Our RPR and GALAN machines allow us to twist yarns of different fibres (polyester, high tenacity polyester, nylon 66 and 6, and polypropylene) with a high number of twists, guaranteeing a high quality level of product.
After twisting, the thread is transferred to cardboard (or plastic) tubes of different sizes according to the customer’s needs.
