GATHERING OR PLYING

Gathering is a basic process, which consists of joining together several ends of thread and creating a higher count, that is, a thicker diameter. To make the product denser and more stable, the strands are twisted at the same time as they are gathered.

Depending on whether it is for the warp or for the weft, we give it an adequate number of twists and depending on whether it is to be used raw or for dyeing, we will wind it in the appropriate way for its final use.

We can do this with any type of continuous filament: polyester, polyamide, and polypropylene.
